Diana Brda, MA, LLP

Therapist / Owner

Diana Brda established Blackbird Counseling Center with a vision of creating a welcoming space where individuals can heal and thrive. With over 15 years of private practice experience, Diana has worked with clients from all walks of life. Her specialties include treating a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, relationship challenges, trauma, and mood disorders.

Diana’s approach to therapy is integrative and eclectic, recognizing that every individual’s journey is unique. She employs a range of evidence-based techniques, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness Practices

  • Self-Reflection Exercises

  • Visual Tools and Worksheets

  • Coping Skill Development

Her ultimate goal is to foster a trusting and collaborative relationship with clients, enabling them to achieve greater self-awareness, utilize healthy coping strategies, and find fulfillment in their lives.

Robin Keller, MA, LLP, MEd, ATR

Therapist / Art Therapist

Robin is passionate about providing a therapeutic collaborative relationship where clients can grow and heal from events that “broke” them. Her approach to therapy is Humanistic at its heart and includes meeting clients where they are at and helping them move towards their goals by overcoming obstacles and developing coping strategies. She specializes in working with adults with various concerns such as but not limited to:

·         Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar

·         Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

·         Grief, Loss, and other transitions

·         Substance Use Disorders

Working in therapeutic environments since 2010, Robin has become skilled in many therapeutic interventions including behavioral strategies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, art therapy, enhancing self-awareness, trigger identification, and development of coping strategies. Robin is a Registered Art Therapist and a certified provider of EMDR therapy.

Pamela Gebrayel, LMSW

Therapist

Pamela specializes in working with individuals and families to navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and parenting challenges. She is passionate about helping clients improve communication, interpersonal relationships, and household dynamics. Pamela works with children, families, and adult individuals, tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet each client's unique needs.

Savanna Thompson-Miller, LMSW

Therapist

Savanna is a skilled therapist who brings a unique perspective to her therapeutic practice. With a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and years of experience working with children facing challenges such as ADD, ADHD, ODD, and Autism, Savanna is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate through difficult times with compassion and understanding. Her work also extends to working with adults, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, life transitions, and more including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, family conflict, grief and loss, life transitions, and more. Savanna is a very passionate therapist committed to empowering her clients to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and cultivate healthier relationships through a collaborative and strength-based approach.

Lia Gonzalez

Intern Therapist

Lia Gonzalez is currently an intern pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Counseling at Northwestern University. She enjoys working with individuals seeking support with interpersonal relationships, identity and life transitions. She utilizes psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to walk alongside clients on their journeys to healing. Her passion is to facilitate growth, empowerment and resiliency in her clients to help them improve their mental wellness and live their most authentic life.

Hunter Kirkland

Intern Therapist

Hunter is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences, emotions, and goals. She believes the clients are experts of their own lives which is why she cultivates an individualized experience for every client.  Hunter is committed to culturally responsive care and understands the importance of honoring each client’s backgrounds, values, and lived experiences in the therapeutic process

Danielle Dunn

Intern Therapist

Danielle is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who works with couples, families, and individuals. She is especially passionate about helping people improve their relationships—whether that’s with a partner, family members, or themselves.  She works with couples and families navigating communication challenges, conflict, and life transitions, and also supports individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, ADHD, or relationship concerns. Danielle believes therapy is a place to build insight, strengthen connections, and develop tools that support long-term growth and well-being.

Sara Collins, LMSW

Therapist

Sara is passionate about building an authentic relationship and a safe, comfortable space for people to explore feelings and experiences. She approaches therapy with a holistic, client-driven perspective and feels that it is inherently important to focus on client strengths in determining a healthy therapeutic process. Sara enjoys working with adults. She utilizes an eclectic range of techniques including Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Coping Skill Development. Her treatment focus includes anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, stress, and burn out.

Anthony Moses

Wellness Coach

Anthony has served individuals in the community as a licensed wellness coach and nutrition specialist for more than 20 years. As a Crohn’s survivor and very successful, all-natural bodybuilder, Anthony is passionate about the field of health and wellness as he has been a certified personal trainer for over 25 years. Through Anthony's approach, he will help you learn about your metabolism by assessing your body's needs through a Resting Metabolic Rate machine, using I-Heart technology to assess the impacts of stress within your body, and help you understand the total being in regards to your wellness by understanding physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual domains of your life.

Kira Cook, MA, LLP

Therapist

Kira’s goal as a therapist is to foster a safe, compassionate space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood. By utilizing an integrative approach, she pulls from evidence-based research to tailor treatment to your unique preferences, values, and goals.

Kira specializes in working with adults, teens, and couples struggling through:

  • Depression, Anxiety, and Mood Issues

  • Trauma, Grief, and Life Transitions

  • Neurodivergent-affirming support for ADHD/ASD

  • Motherhood and the Postpartum period

  • Marriage/Couples Therapy 

Clients appreciate Kira’s gentle yet straightforward approach, which empowers them through actionable steps to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness. When not in the office, Kira enjoys exploring new recipes, staying active with fitness, and spending time outdoors with her family and dog, Bentley!
